Themostat Installation
Thermostat selection plays a big role in the function of your home's HVAC systems. Homeowners have many options to choose from when selecting a thermostat-from traditional to programmable, smart thermostats and more. To begin the selection process, homeowners should identify what type of HVAC system they have. Based on mode of operation, two types of thermostats exist:
- Line voltage thermostats - used to regulate systems that use electricity to heat homes: baseboard heating, for example.
- Low voltage thermostats - used to regulate systems that rely on central furnaces, boilers, or heat pumps.
